Flugery Lvova Festival – For the First Time in Kyiv

In 2011  the «cultic» Flugery Lvova/Weathervanes of Lviv Ethno-Jazz Festival will be held  for the first time in Kyiv. On 1- 2 May the Kyiv Flugery will host bands from Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.

The Festival is recognized to be a music visiting card of Lviv, and in the course of nine years it has been bringing together thousands of visitors from different cities of Ukraine and Poland. For that time it has  become the most popular spring festival in Ukraine, and therefore its main and exclusive venue – a courtyard of the Lviv City Hall  – is unable to «accommodate all applicants».

Therefore, this year Festival Flugery Lvova will be held in Kyiv to give a possibility to join a holyday of spring and good music for more and more people.

In Kyiv the Flugery will present:  Polish experiments by the TRYKI:Lebik–Trebski–PaPaZura, Belarusian Vurajinstrumental theater, the Shopping Hour Ukrainian-Serbian project and the DomRa Ukrainian ethno-jazzmen. The first Festival day will be represented by its favourites – the  Lviv ShockolaD band. Athe  Polish-Ukrainian DagaDanaproject will perform in Kyiv just  in the midst of their nationwide tour. The Mertvyj Piven' /Dead Rooster band – those L’viv rock monsters, will present their new Radio Afrodyta album (that was the name of the UPA /Ukrainian Insurgent Army partisan radio) and will close the Festival.
